1990 E350 cruise control switches?

My mechanic says the reason my cruise control is not working is due to the switches in the steering wheel. Anyone know where I can obtain those? Or a complete steering wheel?

if this can be of any help, mine is a 1998 and cruise cnt. doesn't work, and the reason is clock spring. I guess your horn doesn't work either ???

Horn works fine. I initially discovered that the braided cable crimp bead had come off on one end of the assembly. I replaced the braided cable and re-crimped it, but still no cruise. Mechanic says the problem is in the switches in the steering wheel, but I do not know exactly where the fault might be. I guess I need to disassemble the steering wheel and do some troubleshooting.

ok, so probably not the same ''generation'' than mine, cause for my generation, cruise issue (at least one) will be cause by the spring lock, which is install in the steering wheel, and the air bag light in dash board will light up, and hord won't work either. Good luck !

Yeah mine doesn't have an airbag.

Still, I have no idea what it is inside the wheel that is causing the issue. One of these days I'll have to chase it down.

Do you have a Ford service manual for your van? It has a whole section on the cruise control and how to diagnose it..

I've got the cruise control buttons on my steering wheel but they don't function. When i first saw pictures of my van online before i purchased it, it had an aftermarket wheel that matched some fur on the dash. Lol. I'll dig into it soon though and let you know what I find.

Now I never even thought of that. Where can I get one? Off to Google...

Edit...not having much luck finding anything.

There are two important manuals to have for our vans...
Here is the first. There may be a better price but I just picked one
1990 FORD ECONOLINE VAN FACTORY EVTM ELECTRICAL VACUUM TROUBLESHOOTING MANUAL
https://www.ebay.com/itm/1990-FORD-E....c100011.m1850

The second is the Ford service manual. Much better then any other book you will find and works along with the EVTM. You can probably find a paperback manual set but you would pay quite a bit more!
FORD 1990 Bronco, Econoline, F150-F350 & Super Duty Pick Up Truck Shop Manual CD
https://www.ebay.com/itm/FORD-1990-B...ss!30144!US!-1

Here is an example from my 88 manual. may be the same as a 1990 but I do not know..
