The hose routing for my air injection system makes no sense and may have been routed wrong by the PO. I've never heard of a setup like mine.

First of all I have 2 TAD valves, 2 output hoses on the smog pump, and one TAB valve. Pump input is a larger hose coming from the air cleaner post-filter. The 2 pump outputs go to each of the TADVs on the side front of each valve. The hose on top of each TADV routes to each head, the TADV side hose (to the right of the intake hose coming from the pump) on each valve are routed to a junction and the resultant single hose goes to the cat.

Why there are 2 TADVs, I don't understand. Seems redundant and a crossover tube would be simpler. A single vacuum line from the TAD solenoid splits to each TADV so they work in tandem anyway.

The TABV is placed where it makes no sense. There is a T on one of the hoses between the pump and one of the TADVs. The perpendicular fitting on the T goes straight up to a 2" long hose to the TABV. The TABV has a hose on a side fitting going to the air cleaner snorkle. The remaining fitting on the TABV (flowthrough) is capped off!

This configuration would mean air is always going to the manifolds or cat, and never truly bypassed. Even if the TABV is installed in place of the T below it, that would shut off (bypass) air to ONE of the TADVs but not the other. Seems like there should be 2 TABVs, one on each pump-to-TADV hose, and placed directly inline and not off a T.
