00 EB Expedition stuck in 4low w/4x4 light flashing
Put my truck in 4x4 hi and reversed going uphill in loose gravel to hook up my trailer.
Drove back down to the street, put it back in A4WD and shut it down.
30 minutes later I drove off. Heard a whining and saw my Speedo read WAY faster than what I was going and felt the gears shifting quickly.
Looked up and my 4x4 light is flashing. Tried switching through all 3 modes and only heard clicking behind the dash in 4hi once.
Brought it back home after going around the block.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My 99 expedition Eddie Bauer seems to be stuck on 4lo I tried to turn on the 4x4 to see if it worked but nothing seemed to happen or so i thought after some tries I gave up put it in afwd and shut it off later on I turned the truck on and leaving the driveway the 4x4 is popping and binding so clearly it's on 4x4 but the **** is on a4wd while driving straight the speedometer goes far up while on slow speeds and u can hear the 4x4 whining like it's on 4lo and the 4x4 light started to flash, when i move the **** to 4hi or 4lo nothing happens other than the 4x4 flashing light turns off and no low range light turns on at all I've tried to move it forward and reverse putting it in neutral and park with brake and no brake trying to make it switch back to afwd so I can drive it again but nothing any help im new hear don't even know how to make my own post

A4wd
What I ended up doing was pulling the relay and module from under the dash behind the radio on the top (you have to take off the dash board to get to them). I tapped on them, put some dielectric grease on the contacts and reinstalled them. I think I disconnected the battery too but I can’t remember.
After that I started to hear a clicking sound from that module relay thingy and everything was fine.
I hope this helps you.
