Hi there....hope someone can help with this query....
I need to find another airbox for my 7.5L engine in my E350 van. Current one has had a corner broken off (over eager Mr. Goodwrencher)....and while everything works well, it would be nice to not have an extra intake hole in the box. I've looked several different places including Pick and Pull but finding one seems to be a lost cause.
Second part comes about as a result of dealing with two failed smog checks (both of which failed for different reasons)....most recent seems to be a leak in the emissions evaporative valve located on top of the mid-ships fuel tank...I'm having that smoke checked again just to be sure it's not the hoses before I try to deal with the CA BAR referee. Any ideas about where I might find said valve and if anyone can tell me whether there are one or two on my vehicle. The manuals show only one emissions evap valve and a smaller purge valve.....so either both are "leaking" or? Either way, I've looked and searched for said parts.....no luck.

 

1990/2001 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalog sez one or two of the fuel vapor valve(s), so if you have dual tanks, there's one in each.

F4UZ-9B593-F (replaced F2UZ-9B593-A) .. Fuel Vapor Valve - 2 ports - Use with mid-ship and/or aft axle fuel tanks / Obsolete

1992/96 E150/350 5.8L & E350 7.5L

MCDONALD OBSOLETE PARTS in Rockport IN has 1 = 812-359-4965.

btw: This is a van, correct? It's not a cut-away with a Class C Motorhome or box van or people mover body installed.

Thanks so much for the information I will get on it tomorrow and hope they still have the part... My E350 is still and always was a "van".....I just had an interior conversion done when I bought it used so I could travel better in my old age

 

Hi again Numberdummy....I contacted McDonald Obsolete Parts....they checked both of the parts numbers and did not have the valve in stock. They were very helpful and gave me two other places to call, unfortunately neither of those folks had the part either....and one of them actually referred me back to McDonald's. I also had another smoke test done to see exactly what is leaking and to be sure it's the valve....interestingly the tank has two of them on on either end. Second smoke test did not duplicate said leak but did find a couple of the vacuum hoses that needed replacing......so I'm back to seeing if it will pass smog...third time is the charm as they say.
