Good point 52 Merc I see what you are saying. Jeff and Nicolle, it's 4.5 hours from me by my dad's house in central WI. I wouldn't hand over any cash until seeing it myself, but Dad was gonna do the initial legwork and see if it was even worth the drive to go see. He knows mechanics/body etc but probably doesn't have as critical an eye as you all, especially seeing things that are missing or are not original, so I greatly appreciate all the input. I will be passing all this along to him and if the guy is firm at 16k we know that we don't need to waste anymore time.

Good luck. I hope you can get it. If you are willing to pay $12,000 and you think it is worth it, then buy it. If you need help we are here. I would rather see a truck like that stay stock than some guy chop it up....

Regarding the hood: mine does the exact same thing if it isn't latched all the way. Those are big pieces of metal and they do flex a bit. I'm not saying the truck in the pic doesn't have issues, just that I've seen the hood move that way if it's improperly closed.
