How long have you had your Excursion?

Born October 2nd, 2000, Rudolph was purchased new with 50 Miles back on August 27th, 2001. Almost 17 years later, he now has 456K on him and like Nicmike's truck, ain't quite the same, lol
Born July 28th, 2005, The Monster came home with me October 13th, 2013 from the Pan Handle with 123,860 on the clock. Despite the clogged oil cooler and leaking EGR cooler, it STILL safely drove 650 miles home. It was a one-owner truck owned by couple that owned a fire safety company. It took a month of searching and finding exactly what I wanted, but I wasn't going to settle. My '05 Excursion needed to have the two rarest options on an '05: Lighted Running Boards and a 2005 Engine (not the carryover 2004 engine)
Even though both are down now, they're still worth fixing and worth their weight in gold.

I started this thread while I was thinking about how long I have had this truck. How much I would be screwed if something happened to it. How hard and expensive it would be to replace it with something to do the same thing. How unique the Excursion is.
The last Excursion rolled off the assembly plant in Kentucky 13 years ago. It was only made for 6 years. Something tells me the Excursion will someday be sought after collector vehicles.
Take care of yours. After a while of it being yours, it becomes nearly an extension of you.
We will probably never see it's like again.

Agreed! Between the places I've been with it, taking my driver's test, going off to college, and countless other memories, it really is a big part of me. I can't stand the thought of something ever happening to it. I grew up with two first gen Navigators, and the Excursion has a lot of similarities, at least on the interior, so it was already a reminder of my childhood.
