2016 and newer Explorer

Looking to buy a 2016 or newer Explorer and have a couple of questions:

1. When did the 10 speed trans become available?
2. Is the 10 speed the superior transmission for both performance and reliability?
3. Can I leave the Fob in the vehicle and lock the car with the touch pad?

Well the quick answers are:

1. 2017
2. Depends on who you ask. Everyone has an opinion. Mine is Yes and Maybe.
3. Yes.

Doing as much research as I can and only finding a 6 speed transmission offered in any year Explorer. Does anyone know what trim package or options equipped the Explorer with the new 10 speed?

Sorry, you're correct. The 10 speed isn't offered in the Explorer. Every trim level gets the 6 speed. I forgot about that since my F150 has the 10 speed but my wife's Explorer has the 6 speed. Who knows. Maybe in the '20?
