RV Weigh Safe results

So, I had every wheel weighed in this process. Well worth the peace of mind, IMO. Done at a rally. I have a '17 F-350 King Ranch CCLB 6.7 SRW. Fiver is an '18 Mesa Ridge 337RLS with a dry weight of 10,258 pounds and a CCC of 4,117 pounds. I pull with an Andersen Ultimate. I had the Morryde SRE 4000 suspension and disc brakes put on in Elkhart just before being weighed. I am still slightly nose high (see separate post about the suspension and Morryde information). I had about 40 gallons of fresh water, 40 gallons of gray water in tanks. I had a nearly full 48 gallons of diesel--lets say at least 36 gallons. At least 5 gallons of DEF, if that matters. As you can see, I am a bit heavier on the rear axle of the fifth wheel, but well within specs. The only number that exceeds weight limits is the GVWR of the truck when loaded, but only by 50 pounds. Dumping the two tanks would accomplish this easily. I was given the tire inflation tables; with my weights, I was correctly using 60psi in the truck's front tires and 80psi in the rear. I was overinflating the trailer tires to 80, when 70 would be better.

Given that I'm very well within every thing else, I feel really good about my set up and have no plans to alter anything else at this time. This is what the couple doing the weighing told me. They were awesome, and if you ever have a chance to get weighed like this I highly recommend it. Any thoughts?

Thats something when looking at the trailer axle weight and seeing the difference in weight from each individual wheel. Certainly a help if trying to even things out some.

I knew as soon as I saw the weight. Then I googled your 5th wheel to confirm and see the layout with the difference of the two wheels besides the heavy side.

Thanks for making the effort to make sure you are towing safely. I'll gladly share the road with you. Wish more folks did this.

Just out of curiosity, what is the payload capacity of your truck?

X2^^. I would feel quite safe with those numbers. The most important specs are the rear axle and tire ratings and you are well within those.

Just a note: the Escapees SmartWeigh program provides the same service if anyone is ever at one of their rallies or one of the parks (such as Rainbow's End in Livingston, TX) where they provide the service. Their scales AND the operators are certified. The information was invaluable when MOR/ryde was doing the calculations for installation of the independent suspension system. Just for entertainment, here are the number from our last trip across the scales (the trailer GVWR is for the OEM 6K axles which have been replaced with two MOR/ryde 7K independent units).

Getting an individual tire weight would be great! Did you know about this opportunity in advance, or did it happen while you were there?

We were asked if we'd be interested in doing it as the rally was being planned. Enough people were, so they arranged for it to be done. You could be weighed coming in or leaving. I got the entire rig weighed as I came in, then went to my spot, dropped the trailer and then went and got the 4 tires of the truck weighed.

I think they have a website with a way to check and see if they have anyone in your area. They have people doing this all over the country, and many rallys offer it.
