Best method to repair bent fender

Here is what happens when the tread comes off of a tire. What is the best way to bend this back into shape, is it possible to not damage the paint when bending it back? I will get a new brace or make one before I start.
Thank you in advance

It possible...…. I would apply heated oil to the surface (not boiling hot, just very warm...almost to the point of het), and then slowly ",massage" the metal back using almost a push or rolling type method from the back side.....you may get lucky!

Keeping fingers crossed for you...………..

Thank you; I had the thought of trying a heat gun too.

With dents the way to pull them out is just the reverse of how they went in.
The tire tread rolled the lip under.
You can try heat but be careful not to use too much and warp it.
I am not for heat.

I would remove the old brace, might be able to save it?
Grab the panel and roll it back out by pulling it down & out at the same time.
You may also need to hold your hand on the outside just above the bend wile you roll the panel back out.

May also need to do a little hammer work wile rolling the panel back out. Use body hammer as it has a large flat head and a paint stick on the area to be hit.
This is where a helping hand comes in handy. The paint stick should spread the blows out more and keep from scratching the paint.
Go easy is all I can say.

ps: yes I have done body work for a living

LOL It is what it sounds like, a stick to stir paint in gallon cans. It is about 1/8" thick and maybe 2" wide 18" long.
You can get them at hardware stores.
