Factory 460 MAF

Factory 460 MAF
I am reaching out to anyone who has just used mid 90's Truck computer and MAF To replace the stock SD setup? I just figure if around 1996? They used a MAF setup. I could swap it that way. I think the harness has 120 pins? I have seen stock MAF units for sale for the 460. Stock computers also. Seems like a doable thing.
I was ready to do the A9L computer thing, But finding a decently priced unit and then having it set up for #24 Injectors seemed like a lot of work compared to a stock kinda swap.
Anyone? my truck is a 92 by the way and I want to do some mods that will give the stock system problems.

MAF 460s are OBD2(102 pin PCM) while your truck is OBD1(60 pin PCM), the swap is possible but it would be a big wiring job.. basically replacing everything in the engine bay and you would have to source some OBD2 only parts like the DPFE. Those MAF trucks likely all had E4OD transmissions too which complicates it even further if your truck is a manual.
I think a Mustang PCM would be easier to install, if you get into better heads or anything like that it would need a tune regardless and both of these PCMs would require the same J3 port tuner like a Moates Quarterhorse.
