Removal of Decals and Adhessive from Govt Van

That's the nice thing about forums like this. You always get the usual half-baked opinions, of course, and some solid, informed opinions, and the occasional know-it-all-know-nothing opinion.
But then sometimes you get to hear from someone who really knows what he's talking about.

The gasoline i used worked perfectly but Fluharts post has me wondering what would have been better

For me it just depends on what type of surface I'm dealing with. Gasoline works fine if there is a clear coat to protect the paint. It can easily loosen the adhesive, but it evaporates fast, which could be good or bad depending on the job...and it stinks like heck. Right now I'm using Grafix Gone on light stuff and a thicker solvent called Orange Peel on heavier stuff. Orange Peel works the best and I've never had a problem using it on cleared paint, but it is not safe for all surfaces so applying a small test spot is recommended.
