What is average miles on a 16

Just picked up a 2016 SD 4x4 gas. Had 12600 on it . Is this below or average for that year

Just wondering

Ps Scott

I would say average is about 15K per year. This truck could be almost 3 years old, so I would say that 40K would be average. Regardless, 12,600 is definitely below average. Of course, if it was a leftover '16 that wasn't sold til mid '17, that would be different.

I'd call it below average, I've seen several 2017 models with more than 16K

FWIW, my 2016 has 12K miles and that includes one 2K mile trip. No, I don't drive it much. Not a SD but when I had larger trucks I did not drive them that much either.

average is 15,000 miles per YEAR, for an average CAR....

my 2012 F 250,,, fleet / lease from 10/2011 to 8/2015 seen 136,000 miles...

yours did a LOT of Sitting.
my opinion.

Flatbed Ed. ( on here ) his 2011 .. till this past winter.. 418,000 miles. he replaced the engine and kept driving it.

who spends for a NEW truck .. ( $40K, to $60K ) and let it sit.

That’s definitely below average. Which would seem like a good thing. My 15 that I bought new has 39k on it now.

People who need a truck and but don't have to drive them very far? My 2007 has 120k, our other 2007 has 105k on it. Averaging right around 10k a year, perfectly normal and perfectly fine.

My 16 only pulls my boat and TT and when I feel like driving it to work. It has 13,500, bought in June of 16. I'm trying to keep this truck for when I retire in 4 years so I don't want it wore out.

my 12, that I bought as a left over in July of 13, yes the 14's were hitting the lot, but got a great deal. Anyway, it currently just hit 70,000 miles, which includes 5 heavy hauls from New Jersey to central Florida, west coast. Once here, just don't do that much driving any more.

I just bought a 2016 f350 6.2 gas with 16265 on it, looks like new, rides like a f350, aired tires down some so it rides like a f250 now, not much different. Only used to pull a camper few times a year and will drive to keep it running and charge the battery. low miles yes, good? Hopefully!

Well my 2004 has 164k on it, and at 14 years old that's roughly 11,400 miles per year. And I think I drive it too much...

I know someone who hauls small livestock (Goats, etc) around the country and puts ~40-50,000/year... Gooseneck Livestock trailer.
He has gone through several trucks over the years.. Worn out... That's some serious driving..
He had a Dodge, then a Chevy, then a Ford and went back to the Dodge...
He said the Dodge outlasted all others.. Was tough on the roads and lasted the longest with the least repairs. Ford was second place..
