The June Swoon Talk Till Ya Drop Thread

Well Gents, I bought a new Ford on Sunday. I sold my Fusion Energi to my brother on Sat and bought a Focus Electric on Sunday. So far so good. It's rated at 115 miles of range, but I'm getting about 95 based on how fast I drive. Out the door with all taxes and fees, but with the incentives the cost is just over $19k. The stated goal for this car is to bridge me over until Ford pulls their heads out and offer a GOOD, not even great, electric car.

I've actually been playing around at the jewelry hobby lately.
I used my new Oxy-Acetylene jeweler's torch for the first time, I like it better than the other soldering torches I've got. I got it for Christmas, but I've been busy doing other things. I want to upgrade to the next size up on the welding torch. I've got some small welding projects in mind.
I've been trying to avoid using the truck until I get some more parts for it. I think i blew out the exhaust doughnut at the left exhaust manifold. I also want to replace the speedometer cable (again).
Our weather's been in yo-yo mode - the temperatures keep going up and down.

One of my buds got a lease on a Leaf almost 3 years ago. For him, it's perfect. His round-trip commute is perhaps 8 miles (4 each way). He plugs it in every few days at home. He NEVER goes to a gas station. The lease was a killer deal. He's paying ~~ $80/month on the lease, and he put nothing down. Dang car is costing him less than his cell phone.
