What are Biggest injectors can be used with 460 with Speed Density?

What are the stock injectors rated at? I'm installing the new BBK 3502 Twin 61mm Throttle Body and COMP Cams Computer-Controlled Camshafts 34-255-5 with COMP Cams 1411-16 - COMP Cams Magnum Steel Roller Tip Rocker Arms or COMP Cams 1630-16 - COMP Cams Ultra Pro Magnum Rocker ArmsCOMP Cams 832-16 - COMP Cams High Energy Hydraulic Lifters, Crane Anti-Pump Up Hydraulic Lifters 99280-16, COMP Cams 924-16 - COMP Cams Valve Springs, or
COMP Cams 926-16 - COMP Cams Valve Springs , COMP Cams Computer-Controlled Camshafts 34-255-5 also Accel 150824 - ACCEL Fuel Injectors (24lb) , 1996 FORD F 350 ACCEL Fuel Injectors 150826(26lb) injectors, or 1996 FORD F 350 ACCEL Fuel Injectors 150830(30lb)

So what do you guys think? Have done exhaust, cut horns etc, now want to wake it on up more, as Far As Speed Density will allow me without computer mods etc.

Stock injectors are 24lb/hr and you can't use anything but that size with the stock PCM.

If you change the cam, springs and lifters that's fine...roller rockers and anti pump up lifters are a big waste if money unless you are revving this thing to 6k in a regular basis...

As mentioned, you can only run 24 lb injectors. 26 lb injectors will just make the truck run rich, and the computer will pull fuel to compensate.

Not necessarily,. The 460 trucks in heavy application are boarder line lean with 24lb injectors. It will run with 30s, but rich on cold start.

get you an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and wide band air/fuel ratio gauge, and you will see how lean/rich it runs with your old 24's, and decide if you need new one's, after your up grades are done, was you dong headers also, or just cam, rockers

Injectors

It really depends on which truck you have, and what your doing with it. If you have a dump truck, or tow truck or utility body. Those trucks weigh 8 to 9 000 empty. On a regular cab 4x4 pick up will only weigh 4800. So the fuel connsumption is much more on 8000 pound truck. Similar to a loaded passenger plane compared to empty. The problem is with the heavy 8000 pound truck , is it goes lean at part throttle. Then when the computer tries to go into closed loop it gets worse. The heavy motorhomes have the same problem. They should have made the cab n chassis models with bigger injectors.

You could probably get away with 26 lb without any adverse effects. I wouldn't do any mods like this without a wideband installed with factory components *first*, so you can compare how it wants to run to how it runs after mods.

Injectors,. Well, I know 30s, too much, but I already on second set of head gaskets, with 24lb, the problem is with the truck loaded, with weight of 11 12000 it goes lean at part throttle, then u get the dead pedal on highway, till you step on it more to pull it out of closed loop. Even in open loop it's lean part throttle weighing 11500. And right at 1800 rpm. If you read the RV forums, it's a constant problem. Years ago I had a f350 dump truck with a carburetor, and Ford used this funky fuel valve for emmissions in line the fuel line. Well with 2 yards of gravel in back, the valve can't flow enough fuel. Going up a big hill with a 460, loaded, you would be surprised how much fuel it will use, 5 gallons get u 10 miles, on straight uphill climb weighted at 11500.

If you step up to a tunable ecu, you can run any size injectors you want/need.
