Old ford f600 back to life
Hi all ford folks, been reading here awhile,I picked up a 64 f600 dump truck recently, was sitting in vale nc for a number of years, was borrowed by last owners brother for 15 years for landscaping, he abused it and worked it hard, loaded heavy cracked frame in middle all welded up with good reinforcement supports Rear end is now an eaton international off maybe loadstar 1600. I found it with a broken rear r. axle, got it running, bought it that way, trucked it home ,found an axle and have driven it around yard. needs carb rebuild ,has no brakes, Feels like im resurrecting it from the grave,Shes a little rough but i like her, used to have a 66 f600 dump in the 80s made a living with her, great to get another, will try to post picks when i get home from work, drive a 4 axle dump for living now, have a good day.

If your brake booster in a "hydro vac" you should put a charcoal filter on the vacuum line as the gas fumes will get to the rubber diaphragm and cause it to fail.
If it has failed, do not rebuild it. buy a new later year one as the rebuild parts use old OEM parts and they only last a year.
I went thru two before I bought a new one.
I bought mine from,
Midwest Power Products.
