IMHO there should always be a V-8 offering. There are multitudes of truck buyers who just don't like a V-6 or trust turbos and associated equipment.

I've thoroughly enjoyed my 3.5L ecoboost for 7 years and 84000 trouble free miles and I'd gladly have another. However, to save a few bucks, I'd proudly buy a 5.0L.
