Researching 2018 Expedition Towing configuration...

We are looking to up size our SUV from a Highlander to the Expedition so I am researching the various configurations. Although we have a 2017 F250 for towing I would like the Expedition to be able to tow. I understand the towing and heavy duty towing options available. What isn't made very clear is what configurations if any comes with an installed wiring harness (Plug) and a hitch receiver. If you have information regarding this it would be appreciated. Any other general thoughts on the 2018 Expeditions would be welcome.

Thanks!
Jim

Class IV trailer hitch and 4 and 7 pin connectors are standard on all XLT's and up (did not look at the SSV or XL trim, sorry). From the Ford brochure:

STANDARD FEATURES 2018 Expedition: Mechanical 4-wheel independent suspension, Class IV trailer hitch receiver with 7- and 4-pin connectors, Electric power-assisted steering, Power 4-wheel disc brakes with Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS),Trailer sway contro

But you probably also want this:
Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package, MSRP $1570
-inc: Integrated Trailer Brake Controller, Electronic Limited Slip w/3.73 Axle Ratio, Pro Trailer Backup Assist, Heavy-Duty Engine Radiator

My '17 also has load leveling suspension, but I do not see that listed as an option on the '18s.

Thanks good info. I do not have a brochure yet. I was looking though configuration options and didn't see that. Could be because it was more basic and standard. How do you like yours?

One other thing...I believe that the Heavy Duty Towing Package includes a two-speed transfer case on 4X4 models.

.pdf of the brochure can be downloaded at Ford.com.

I have only pulled 6000 lbs once and 4500 lbs 3-4 times. No sweat. Put 'er in "D" and hit the pedal.
