Replaced linkage, still doesn’t accelerate from the pedal
Have an oldie 89 f150 straight 6 that is giving me a hard time. It starts just fine, when I step on the gas pedal, it does not accelerate. Replaced the throttle linkage and still the same issue. What am I missing? I can throttle it from under the hood and hear the engine’s acceleration. Also having issues with it having a high idle. The cold start takes the rpm to 2000 and the lowest the rpm will drop down to is 1500. Replaced the IAC, throttle body, manifold gasket and MAP and still idle high.. any help from you all is much appreciated.
