Just went to salvage yard and they had a really nice twin I beam front end with disc brakes off a 78 f150. This is the same and will work on a 66 just bolting on right? Just want to make sure before I get it.

 

Yes but you may want the steering link also. I can't remember if I used it off the 78 donor I bought. My truck is the 250 though.

 

I'm getting the entire front end (they are cutting frame in half and giving me everything

 

Suggest check whether the spindle to I-Beam bushing boss is with- in spec's before installing. I salvaged I-Beam and spindles from 78 and took directly to shop to install new bushing and have the spindles turned but found the tolerances exceeded acceptable limits, fortunately for few $ more purchased their exchange polity and able to swap. Anyhow, food for thought??
