06 4.6 2v rod bearing ?
So I have been having an engine knock on my 4.6 2v Romeo engine, and I believe that I have a worn rod bearing or maybe even a worn crank bearing. Can either one of these bearings be worn enough to dump all oil pump pressure as to where when taking an oil pump pressure I would have a 0 PSI reading ? I did originally replace the oil pump, and had 75 PSI pressure at the oil pressure sensor, but now have no oil pressure at all.
I dropped this repair a couple of weeks ago, but will be pulling the oil pan next week again to look for worn bearings. The truck does have 140,000 miles on it, new oil pump, new lash adjusters that did not need replacement, perfect cam followers, cams look great, cam chain tensioners are good, etc. What do you guys think ?
