LOOKY what I did, THE REVEAL

I'm not done, but I couldn't wait to show off the progress. I've named them Ginger and Maryann. Just like the show, Ginger is prettier but I like Maryann better.
Still waiting on a few parts. But its interesting to see the different quirks they have. Obviously a big difference between Maryann's 135k and Ginger's 67k. Ginger runs SO smooth, a little more power, and is tighter over bumps. Much heavier steering, being original stock parts. Been driving Ginger for 3 days now and will be back to Maryann tomorrow. Ginger is out of gas,,,, I said gas not ***

No paint,, got lucky found it that way, even the same color interior. I did the bumpers and grill to match. And the running boards showed up. I will be putting them on this weekend if it stops raining. I could not find black ones, they will be silver. But I think they will look good with the chrome wheels.

AHHH the joys of a 26yr old van. Changed the airbag module, cleared the light, yeah, till today. Now its flashing 24. Dangit! So I have a new front sensor coming. I hope that fixes it. Put a new evaporator in yesterday. Worked great for about 10 miles and the compressor took a big dump. New one coming, I hope I shut it off before it threw chunks. DANGIT!

Most airbag codes on these vans are not the airbag. Most are actually the clock spring module in the steering wheel.

Yes, I had to change the clockspring on the older van, but since this van was garage kept and the horn and cruize still works, I am hoping the front sensor is the problem, and for $30 its a cheap gamble.

Ok, got the running boards on, these being silver is the only difference between the 2 vans. Popped in the new A/C compressor this morning and took a trip to the store, so far so good.
Took the old compressor apart, so I could see how bad it imploded. Not bad at all, I don;t think it blew chunks. I think the silver running boards might look better than the black ones.?
Waiting for the new front crash sensor, but this van is ready to go. I'm gonna drive the crap out of it.

Thanks!
So far so good with the front crash sensor, no lights on the dash.
Now I am working on getting Maryann's A/C working. Have a small leak I am having a hard time finding. But I am determined!
Ginger is blowing cold now..

Just curious, where did you find the running boards?

I can't tell from the pictures, but do they have some kind of support underneath?

Yes the kit comes with many brackets, and you have to figure out what works best and place one right in the center, very simple.

Almost 2000 miles on the new van, going great. All the guages read different in the 2 vans, so when I switch vans, for the first day or 2 I have mini panics when I glance down at them, thinking something is wrong.
Funny story, Both vans had the check oil light come on in the same week,, since I go to the local oil change shop, I get free top offs. Pulled in got a top off, pulled in the next day with the twin and asked for another on that one, they were amused.
