You can pull up a lawn chair, and I'll give you my guest WiFi password

I already have gigabit residential, and now gigabit business as well. Yeah, I know...

I'm so rural I'm lucky to get between 6 and 25mbps on a given day. Via cell phone hotspot. :/

But, I don't have neighbors so that's nice.

Yeah, I've spent time "out in the woods" in my life, in Upstate NY, and the lack of neighbors is a HUGE bonus.

The best of both worlds would be to just go up there on weekends

I see these all the time myself. I'm sure the 6.0's and 6.4's scared these companies off. Wonder if they'll make their way back to diesels with stuff finally catching up. But I'm sure that sting in their pocketbooks for repairs still remains strong and deleted any mpg savings they were hoping for.

Talking to the guy, he had some experience going back a ways. The last truck he had was a GMC, a gasser. Before that, he had another Ford. Sounded like a 7.3. He hated it. Noise, stink, can't just shut it down when you want to, etc. His words, not mine

For what they use it for, the gassers are perfect. They're either sitting in place up on a pole, or working in a customer's premises. Move the truck 20 feet, shut it down. Do some work. Move it back, shut it down. Do more work. A diesel would self-destruct in that environment pretty quickly if not handled properly.

For the weight they're carrying, using the 450/550 class trucks and a gas engine is perfect. The larger bucket trucks, are all diesels, but you can't really get anything BUT diesel in that

As someone that ran fleet ops i can tell you that we are never going back to diesels for day to day work no matter how much length it adds to our workers dicks.

we only use diesels on interstate hauls greater then 500 miles, we own 3 for this purpose.

Been looking for one of these myself, but with a dump on it. Tough to find as they are either newer and $$$ or older and rot boxes. People just don't let these go easily.
