I saw this 1995 f250 4wd 7.3 power stroke. On CL . It has 256,000 miles and is asking $7K obo . How much would you guys pay for this? Miles are pretty high, not sure if I should worry about that .
Yes I have not seen it in person, but it looks clean. https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/d/1995-f250-4x4-73-powerstroke/6573716413.html

Decent looking truck and rust free since you are in CA. The miles kinda worry me unless he has a pile of receipts showing there has been a bunch of parts replaced

Automatic

Interior looks fairly clean. Bench seat with saddle man seat cover so who knows whats under it
Also has a carpeted dash pad cover

There's almost always one major mechanical issue that forces the sale of one of these. (OBSs)

And at over qrtr million miles, I bet the "family needs" is "we can't pay for it".

Question is, when do you find out (what "IT" is) & is it worth it to deal with when you do.

$4500 cash in hand BO & a couple K in your pocket for the needed repair.

Big premium, especially for a single cab. Not a lot of miles for an unmolested, well kept, rust-free psd truck. If he wants to talk about mods, run away.

Read about the changes for 1995. It helps if it is late enough to have a working OBD2 port and you can read live data.

And I agree with what was said above. Don't get too far from home with it until you work through some issues.

Just occurred to me that we are talking about Commiefornia and there might be a different version of the emissions related equipment. Check this. Lack of emissions controls made the 7.3 what it was and emission controls made the 6.0 what it was at first. Surviving 6.0s have mostly been cured of their emission related ills. I don't know what ills the commies may have prescribed for the CA version 7.3.
