Dead in the lot

I went to put my truck back into stock mode got back and it won’t start. Seems to have full electrical power but when I turn the key everything normal occurs except the starter engaging.

I checked the number 22 fuse and starter relay both were fine.
Thanks for any help as I await the tow truck.

Did you try disconnecting the batteries? Aftermarket alarm disabled starter? Fusible links melted?

I didn’t try disconnecting the batteries will give that a try when We drop off in a few minutes. There’s an aftermarket alarm but it’s been disconnected for a long time now. Also it is a 2002 and the starter was replacead a couple years ago autocrap brand yet has been appearing to function properly. Everything apperars in working order including the fuel pump and wait to start light with no codes.

If disconnecting batteries does nothing, then I would be looking at the starter. I know it is difficult, but if you have a multi-meter you could check to ensure it is getting 12v voltage.

Everything seems fine, except the starter doesn't kick over?

Where are you now? Someone may be close by that can offer a hand.

Just reconnected the batteries and nothing then when I was inspecting under the starter I found one of the small wires has the lead eye broken off.

In your first post, you mentioned "putting it back to stock mode." If you meant using a chip like DP, Hydra, or TS6, did you accidentally get it into No Start mode where you need to put key in and switch position back to a usable position? Just a thought.

Wire that goes to starter Solonied on starter
It was a coincidence when I reflashed the pcm the wire was broken. Here’s a pic of the repair the only thing I don’t like is there is no retaining bend to keep it from rotating however this eye is several times thicker than the stock harness.

Touch the small wire against the battery wire. See if the starter responds.
