2005 F-150 Shut Down

Anyone know what would cause my F-150 to just shut down during driving. Going down the highway and there was no warning. Just shut down and wouldn't start back up. It's a 2005 with 170,000 miles but has been serviced and just recently had it inspected. No idea what it is. Hoping it's not the motor.

Okay. So when you first turn the ignition key to part way on, does the check engine lamp light up?

And then when you turn the ignition key further to crank the engine, does the check engine lamp turn off?
