Anyone have the Ford Bed Divider?

Would like some details on that fancy accessory. For $295, I'm hoping it's more than just a heavy duty plastic barrier that secures to the bed mounting points.

And for an added bonus, I'm curious if it can be mounted upside down, with the barrier facing up?

I have the bed divider on my 015 that I traded a set of Ford rims for. The bed divider is a heavy duty barrier that mounts to side rail mount points. I went outside and looked at mine and I don't see how you can possibly turn it upside down or maybe I'm not understanding your question. I use it to bank small loads near the tail gate. Hope this helps

Thanks for checking. When I say upside down, I'd like to flip it so the barrier is rotated 180 degrees, pointed up instead of down into the bed. I figured is was probable indexed so it could only be installed the "correct" way.

About the bed divider, how tall is it? I have a tonneau and I'm wondering if it'll fit under.

thanks,

matt

No clue, I never purchased it. But from the pics online it looks like it fits below the bed rails

It should fit under your tonneau cover just fine considering Ford also offers several tonneau covers as well.

Yes it fits under a tonneau cover and no, you can't mount it upside down because of the way it locks into the mounting plates.
After I got mine I installed a couple of lengths of "Slide-N-Lock" tie down rails and locking pins. One length on either side of it. This allows me to ratchet strap or bungee items to either side of it. My only complaint is that since it attaches to the tie-down locking plates, there are only 2 possible locations in the bed for it.

A couple of scrap 2x4's, a couple of storage hooks and some bungee makes a perfect bed divider for just a few pennies.

Just leave it to the US Coast Guard Boys. They can be very creative.

Yea Coast Guard. This old Jarhead just used a piece of 2X8 laying in the barn. You know no nails or screws to figure out. LOL

I miss the old stainless tube bed divider. I didn't like the Little Tykes fold up one at all, so I sold it.
