In fairness, the Ranger looks pretty identical to the global Everest, which is very similar to the Durango in front end design. I don't know who had the design first, it looks good. I wish Ford would have incorporated the cut down doors, but I understand it's a money thing. The front end is nice, kinda ho hum, but again, I think they are trying to differentiate it from the F-150 and make it more "import" to sway sales from the segment and not their own full size trucks.

 

 

If you're referring to the wider, more horizontal look to frontal styling then yes I do see SOME similarity. Certainly not enough to say these truck were separated at birth or anything. I think that general styling cue is becoming more common in the pick-up market to achieve better aerodynamics and thus, fuel economy. The taller, more vertical look that we've grown used to is quickly becoming outdated.

 

 

Idk fellas looks like a cross between the new Honda Ridgeline and a Ford Sport Trac.

 

There's only so many variations on the areo computer model. That's what everything looks the same now

 

Good point. Now, once everyone is riding in autonomous cars, then who cares what it looks like. May as well save design cost and make them all identical.
