How do i remove and put the clip?

 

I want to remove the clip holding the latch actuator rod

 

I wish I still had mine sitting around. I think I threw it out last week. I will check when I get home.
The plastic tabs that hold the rod in should be pliable enough to pop it out. Of course being 10 years old this may not happen and on or more may crack.

Once I get to the house I'll check and if I have mine I'll try it. It's from a 2004 so it is plenty aged.

Bad news, I dug through my bin and it wasn't there. It made it to the landfill already.

IIRC you have to squeee the tabs on the back side of the plastic retainer and push it through the metal arm

 

I managed to remove the bar by melting the plastic a little with a soldering iron and then I could easily enter it. Thank you all
