Tire suggestions for my 1949 f-4

ok I'm looking for tire suggestions for my 49 f-4 ....I have all budd wheels and I'm ready to go... with new 19.5 tires ...suggestions on tread design and affordable price..........something American I hope......

Glad you said 19.5s. I’ll defer to the others on brand, but would suggest going with the 8R19.5” size rather than the metric 225/70R19.5” that is also approved for the 6” wide rims. The 8R19.5 is taller at about 33.5” vs the metric 225/70 low profile that is about 32”. The stock 7.00-18” F-4 tires were about 34” which is close to the 8R19.5”. Stu

Jafo56, As Stu said, the 8R19.5 tires would be a good choice for a stock truck. My '49 F4 came to me with six 7.00-20 tires at 34.5" tall. The 8R19.5 temporary tires I have on the front now are 34". I am going to run 225/70R 19.5 tires on my F4. The Mercedes diesel needs to run at 800-1000rpm higher than the flathead V8.
