I was running errands around town today and saw two things:
First,
There was a twin to my truck at Target but he had Goodyear Duratrac's that were 285/75R18's (~35 tall). I thought they looked good and had actually been considering that size of tire for my next set so I made a mental note.
Second,
I saw this oddity when I went to the Ford dealer today. I'll let you guess what's wrong with this picture:
Yup sure is! At first I thought it was a used truck and the owner had replaced the tailgate because of damage but it was brand new so I’m not sure what’s goin on there.
My guess is they had a delivery and customer complained about something on tailgate...and the tailgates matched... Quick swap... Get the truck over the curb......we used to do it with tires and rims scratched/cracked lights...etc.
dealer swap........ body parts,,, exterior engine parts... anything to keep a customer Happy with a NEW vehicle...
a few years back.. my Mothers new car.. 4 days old.. alternator and battery died.... dealer towed it in... and swapped out the parts in 15 minutes.. from a unsold new car.
