Cool! My Mom and Dad had a '52 wagon with a 215 six and overdrive when I was a kid. I wish I still had it. My dad scrapped it in '66 when they bought a new Ranch Wagon.

That is very cool. Can't be many of them around these days. Hopefully someone will restore it. To much original still there for it to be 'Gas Monkeyed' by someone.
So this was direct competition with Chevy's Bel Air wagon, correct? It may be because I'm a Ford guy, but I like the lines on this better. I'd clear coat the "patina" and rock it like that for a while.

This Ford Ranch Wagon is a Mainliner (stripper model) since it has no body side mouldings, so it wouldn't be in the same price class as a Chevy Bel-Air wagon.
Chevy Bel-Air hardtop introduced in 1950, but I don't think the 'Bel-Air' nameplate was applied to wagons until 1955 or so.
That is a great looking wagon, love the two door wagons. I had a Chevy '56 two door wagon way back in high school and loved it, but this Ford is much nicer looking to me. I am glad that it is so far away because I don't have any more room here...
