1988 body to 1996

The cab area is the same shell. The larger f-600's and f-700's have larger fenders and hood but the doors and main part of cab are the same. I believe that the newer heavy trucks still use the same basic cab interior as the 80-86 model pick-ups. I know for certain that they did last year.

yup the brand new f-600's and other med duty trucks still use 80-86 interior, they must think its a damn functional interior to carry it on like this, theres your late model interior parts sources guys

Question, are the underlying mechanics the same in 88-96? The changes were only superficial, in terms of body style?

I am talking about F250HD.

Also I do realize C6 tranny was kind of replaced by E4OD.

1988 f250 swap for a 1995 body

Did anyone do this successfully and if so was it just a simple bolt on project? I know the '95 cab is 3 inches longer (according to Ford). Have to buy the body in the am if it's going to happen! Nothing like a great deal and lots of pressure! Thanks

This should clear it up

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...wap-again.html

And here's a how to. This is a brick to 92-97 bronco front clip swap but it applies to all 3 style front clip swaps on trucks
