Welcome to FTE the best Ford truck Forum on the world wide web!
That's a nice truck! I did a double take when I saw it. It looks like a truck an elderly friend of mine has. And he is thinking of selling it. I had to go to my phone and look at pics of his truck to make sure that it wasn't his.
You've already met one of our requirements..... showing us pics of your truck.
Second requirement.... tell us what your plans are for the truck.

I forgot to take a pic of the tag but it shows a true 1.5 ton built for the Air Force and yes it is ready for work. As far as my plans first thing next time I’m down at the property I’m gonna throw some hay bails in it and drive my 5 year old boy around the back 40. After that it has a slight oil leak from the oil pressure gauge fitting on the motor and replace the right rear wheel cylinder slight leak as well. Could use a new battery and good cleaning. Gonna keep it stock as can be and use it like a truck. Got a ton of doc from the build here another pic of what it was before the restoration.

Nice F-5. If you’ve read other big truck threads you’ve seen discussions of widow maker two piece wheels. You have them too, at least in the positions we can see. They should be respected, especially the outer duals. You might do some Google reading about them using their trade name Firestone RH-5°. Stu

Thanks for the heads up I’ll look into it next weekend when I get back down there. Yea man it’s pretty sweet but I can’t take the credit for the sweat and tears. It was all done late 90s early 2000 from what the paperwork and receipts show. Wife loves it too. Trying to put some insurance on this thing but not sure how to value it. To me it’s priceless.

I think that plate on the Glove Box Door might be what we called in the military a "Nomenclature Plate". It should list specifics about the truck. If it is original to the truck - and I don't know why it wouldn't be - it may "I D" the truck as being an ex-military vehicle. Which wouldn't surprise me because of the condition of it. Somewhere along it's life it has had some pretty good care to still be in that kind of BEAUTIFUL shape. A look around body mount bolts (if you can remove something with out causing any damage) and the like might reveal an Army green color hiding there. USAF blue, I believe, was originally a 1952 Ford color that the AF decided to use for their vehicles - at least that's what I've been told over the years. So anything prior to 1952 was probably still Army green? That is purely a guess though. What a GREAT looking truck! The envy should be dripping off of my post here.

Thanks again everyone. I’m beyond stoked about it. I will get a pic of the plate next weekend and post it. I’m not sure that there is any army green left on this thing. I have pictures where everything was taken apart sandblasted dipped and painted. I’m gonna pick up a new battery for it on my way down and take it out on a joy ride.

I'd recommend Hagerty Insurance for classic vehicles. Very reasonable rates and very easy to interact with them online. It would be a separate policy that is indirectly linked to your daily driver insurance company. If you need to come up with a value - these guys on here will be happy to suggest one based on what it would cost to replace it or to build one to the same level of quality yours has.
If you don't want numbers flying around on the internet, ask the members to Private Message you with a value and then you can compile it and then use your best judgment to give the insurance company an 'agreed upon' value. Chances are the company will accept it in minutes and Bam you have coverage and can go on road trips with the wife the next day.
