Forgive me if I sound like an idiot but lock ring style good right? Also any idea where to find original manual/auto throttle linkage? Looks like it used to be there but some of it is gone.Cable is ran to the carb and what looks to be linkage that secures the cable but nothing to hook to the arm on the carb.

Right, anything that has a Goodyear style rim will be the more sought after locking ring design. Firestone also made an older design called the RH that is a locking ring too that most shops still service but it takes an experienced hand.

I’ll defer to the flathead head and carb guys, but clearly you don’t have anywhere to connect that throttle cable. I know that some carbs aren’t fitted with a manual throttle but don’t know whether yours is just missing the bracket. Stu

Thanks Stu for you inputs. Here’s a better pic for those carb guys. I’m searching but I can’t seem to find anything on it. From what I’ve read this is how the old timers warmed the truck up and charged the battery with the 6 volt system. The bracket is there to catch the cable but no hookups for the armature. I can turn the **** on the side of the carb and it revs the engine but can’t find how it’s supposed to hook up anywhere
