So I go outside and start up the Ranger and after I shut it off, the blinker module was still clicking away. No lights, but the clicking of the relay! Started up the truck, cycled the directionals and 4 ways and after I shut it off, it stopped!
Interesting!

Ok....
So I replaced the multifunction switch with a brand new Ford part (from Rockauto) and not an aftermarket one and it did not fix the issue. I removed the flasher module (EP25) and brought it into work and opened it up to have a look see inside. Nothing appeared out of the ordinary. Put it back together and reinstalled it in the truck and it has not clicked since!
Weird!
I will try another module and then a new ignition switch if it continues.

Use, or come by the ELM scan tool & running FORScan diagnostic software on the viewing device of your choice as discussed here, https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-scantool.html, as it can query the vehicle body controller for trouble code clues that might be able to focus your trouble shoot. Post All code Numbers.

Ok, good feedback, so lets think about this some more. No code clues kinda suggests the problem is something that the body controller isn't monitoring, Or you've disconnected the battery since the problem happened & that wiped the controller KAM & any code clues it had stored before you scanned for codes.
Seeing as how the OBD-2 diagnostic system is fairly sophisticated, maybe if you can cause the problem to happen again, while the ELM is plugged in, maybe it can grab a clue that's worth while.
Seeing as how you could cause a happening by maneuvering the turn signal stalk, it sounds like a contact problem in that area & since you have replaced the multifunction switch, that sorta leaves you looking at its electrical connector pins/sockets, or the wiring & crimps to them. Seeing as how your near salt water, corrosion of pins/sockets, or their wire crimps, belong on your suspect list. More thoughts for consideration, let us know what you find.
