I hope a year later Carson has things figured out with his pipe bender.
Mine fits great (I ended up with the 3" do to confusion between me and DP when I ordered it.)

That had to be a little bit frustrating!

Extremely but Carson was great, made it 100 percent right. Im lucky my trucks isnt a daily driver so that helped as well.

But on the bright side, Im really good at installing CSD T4 kits

Wanna take a trip out to Cali and hook a brother up? I just gotta register my truck in a county that doesn't do smog inspections.

You guys running these upgraded 7.3's that can hang with the modern diesels can make a man very envious!

Akcooper9 has offered his installation services many times. I thanked him each time and told him I didn't want to turn into cousin Eddie from National Lampoon's Christmas.

I look forward to getting the install done and testing it thoroughly during our trip around the country next spring.

We are headed back to the Washington state area and going to take 60-90 days to go round trip. I suspect this time will be dramatically different than the last trip in 2015 when the truck was 100% stock.

You'll definately notice a difference stock vs mods Sous, although you may have gotten too accustomed to modded in 3 yrs to remember the stock starting point as well. I did the basic FTE mods in sig 1 at a time in between our camp trips and could tell a difference towing with each one. Going T4 will probably be a huge difference for you. I know I'm awaiting your b4 and after torque log comparisons.
Hoping to see you pick up 2 mpg to make it easier to convince a spring purchase to my wife

Did your truck ever have the heat shield? I don't see it in the picture.

Not sure. My exhaust was routed on the other side of framerail when I bought the truck and I just changed it back like factory. I didn't move a heat shield

Is that heatwrap or a coupling to accomodate the offset of DP to rest of exhaust plumbing?

The downpipe is ceramic coated and then I heat wrapped the exhaust right past the trans.

565Edge, is your frame cracked?

It could be just a squiggle in the frame coating, but thought you might want to take a closer look in case that was a crack initiation site, which appears to follow the same modality (flange edge to relief at hole) as a frame would typically present cracking, and which happens to be located in the area where Ford reinforced the frames in later model years.

Just helping keep you on your toes.
