My doc has me on a 50 mg one that also takes care of my blood pressure. It has helped with the fluid buildup in my legs caused by my vascular issues so I guess that needing to hit the bathroom every 2-3 hours is a necessary evil.

Just drop one pill in an 8oz glass......... add 6ozs of water............stir........you'll have 6ozs of water.

Pat....a water pill is a diuretic designed to help the body get rid of excess fluids. You'll find a lot of elderly folks take them to help them get rid of edema caused by the heart failing to pump enough fluid from extremities.

Hopefully you'll never have to take them...love your kidneys. They are also prescribed for folks with hypertension...another thing you want to avoid.
