Since the exhaust sounds good as is --- the headers would have to make it sound even better!!!!

Love to see before and after dyno #’s, but my guess is that it WILL make more power. I’ve had more rides then Six Flags. A good set of long tube headers will always make more power then factory manifolds. Shortys however are usually marginal. Is the juice worth the squeeze? I don’t know? Jury’s out on that still. They are after all a very expensive set of headers. Add a super and a good tune to these and you’d have a beast! As far as how you spend your money. Well, you can’t take it with you, so as long as your responsibility’s are covered. I say if it makes you happy do it!

Funny thing is yes long tubes help on power, but it is normally in a RPM range that you see on a drag strip, The Short Tubes I put on my Mustang only give you 5-7 HP and 5 Pound feet of torque on the top end, but you need to look at the whole HP and Torque Curve, my little V6 picks up 40 Pound feet of Torque and 25 HP in the lower to mid ranges where you actually need it to say Drive on the Street. The Long tubes for the 6.2 were made for the Raptors, the Super Duty would actually do better with a good set of tuned Short tube headers or the Stock Manifolds.

I’ve seen plenty of videos of people towing grades running pretty high up in the rpms. Unless those headers loose power down low, I say more power is more power. Invest in gears if you want to move a 7000# truck off the line. As with all vehicles, mods are most effective when bundled together. Exhaust, intake, tune, even a super all work better when stacked on top of each other. Question is where do you want to start, and how much do you want to spend?
Speed is money. How fast do you want to spend it?

I am surprised at the comments saying this is a waste of money. Long tubes and a dyno tune will really wake this engine up. You can basically ignore anyone concerned with peak HP numbers...the real benefit here is you are going to net gobs of torque throughout the entire rpm range. The drive-ability of the truck will be night and day. It will not even seem like the same truck. Man...just imagining this engine with some ported cylinder heads and high flow manifold...it could really scream.
