1965 F250 vin location?

Help with locating vin for 65 F250? Seller says, "number on replacement driver door doesn't match # on title". I'll pick it up, if I can straighten out confusion. Other area(s) to look for vin? Thanks!

Warranty Plate riveted to the left door face below the latch. FoMoCo called the VIN on the plate the "Warranty Number" said it was not to be used for title or registration purposes.

The usual reason: People replaced damaged left doors with used doors. 99.9% of the time, they failed to install the original Warranty Plates on the replaced doors.

Hidden frame VIN stamped atop the right (passenger) side frame rail, either partially under or just ahead of the cab. Could also be stamped on this frame rail below the alternator.

x2 on the frame rail by the alternator. At least that is where it is on my wife's truck. I had the misfortune of a diligent DMV worker who rightly would not accept the door tag for an out of state title transfer. I knew better, but I had to try...well because I felt lazy. Took me about an hour to find it with a wire brush on the old 4" disc grinder.
