Would love to find an answer for this myself, just had my truck aligned and the caster is wayyyyy off, and it drives really squirrelly.

Front left caster: (-7.8*)
Front right caster : (-5.5*)

DJM 3/4 kit with 1" Front lowering springs from Eaton

I would think problems with caster would be in regards to your bushings and/or damage to suspension components.

it chips really easy. I had these beams on my truck for almost 30 minutes. Drove it out of my shop. Looked at it. Drove it back into my shop. Tore the DJM beams off my truck.
Anyone close by want to buy a set of beams?

u sure you put the beams on the correct sides? The king pin will lean back at the top, this gives positive caster.

yes the powder coat is junk

If you put these beams on backwards. You need to step away from your truck emidetly. Do not pass go. Find someone that just has one idea about how to work on a vehicle let him do your work.
. Sell your tools "Now"!
By the way. Who ever has the problem with the top of the tires leaning out to far. I noticed you have new red springs in the truck. Either find 3 inch shorter than stock springs or find your original stock springs and install them. Your truck is going to set lower than it is right now. You won't need to bend your i-beams at all. Those Red springs are to long or to stiff. Sell them. Recoup some of you money

DO NOT CUT YOUR SPRINGS!!!!

what year is your truck. I've never seen the springs being tapered at both ends. Mine aren't tapered.
. I have a set of these beams. I took them out of my truck. Brand new. Now I'm installing Jaguar XJS independent suspension

So you have negative camber on one wheel and positive on the other? That’s odd. Makes me wonder what a set of new oe spec springs would do.

Its looking that way, maybe I should have purchased new oem springs. The old OEM factory springs that I painted red, could be out of spec...saggy..

They could be bad out of the box, anything is possible. I didn’t have issue with mine. I did use my 40 year old oe springs. If you go back to the sheet I posted with my alignment specs you’ll see the camber and caster are fairly close to each other. I’m assuming you had no issues before switching your beams.

Haven't been able to call DJM yet, but I personally locked every bolt down before setting the truck on the ground....... Could that cause this much of negative caster??

Highly unlikey..
BUT.......You should always set the vehicle back on it weight before locking down all the bolts. I'm sure some of the neg. Caster is due to this. Jack it up. Loosen all the "I" beam bolts. Mostly the two at the ends of the i-beams that thay pivot off of. Loosen the guide arms that run back up to the frame. Set the truck down on its weight. Tighten everything back up. I don't think you will need to loosen the spring mount bolts, top of at the i-beams.
. Let us know if anything changes.
