Yes looks the same to me, only other thing I can do it remove the drop link and make you a card stock paper pattern? Or are you good with the tape measurements?

A card stock pattern would be awesome if you would do that. I’d appreciate that and it would totally take the guess work out of it for me. I’m not pressed for time so at your convience. I’ll buy you a 12 pack!

Thanks, Frank

shortbox - can you:

mount your sway bar, make it level, attach end links, make them vertical, drill a hole.

Sure I could and even thought about it but from pictures that I’ve seen and diagrams etc....the end links go up on an angle to some degree. Also the bar is curved. My guess to make it level per say (if that’s the way it’s suppose to be) what do I level off of. My guess would be the link holes in the bar? I hate to guess. If I had something in front of me to measure off of or as to someone like 77&79F250 willing to make a template for me (which is very appreciated by the way) then it takes less and less wrong doing and guessing and less error to be made.

Well paper pattern made, off a 1979 Bronco XLT and in the mail Monday. Once you get all the other sway bar stuff mounted to the axle and BEFORE you drill a frame in the hole I would test fit/mount the links (suspension compressed like normal driving conditions) and make sure the hole you are about to drill is going to mount your link in a vertical or desired position.

77&79F250, Don't know how to say thanks! I'll let you know how it comes out.

I have to sandblast the axle mounting brackets yet and do the bar as well. Then repaint it. Also have to pick up new end links and bushings. I'll let you know when the patterns get here and follow your advice.

Later, Frank

The advice is written on them, just plug, play and follow the hole/edges. Dvrs side had more to follow line up wise, but the passengers side will work. Yea it not CAD, its old school paper and tape.

O.K. So I was working on the sway bar over the weekend. Sand blasted the brackets, bar, painting etc....

Also thanks to the templates and dimensions from 77&79F250 I know where to locate the end link holes in the frames without doing any guessing work!

Here is what I wasn't expecting at all.....Attached is a picture I found off of the internet/old Ebay listing. I circled the pin I guess it is that the bracket locates on. The main brackets that go around the front axle tube have a ear with a locating hole for a bolt or a locating pin of some sort. My axle doesn't have a pin on it on either side. Is this another bracket that is needed? Anyone got any ideas at all?
Thanks, Frank

Frank those are only for the 78-79 years. Your axle like my sons 75 had no bar on the F100 and not sure on the F250-350. The 78-79 had cast ends that were pressed on and rosette welded. The castings themselves have these locating pins.

So any suggestions? I know you welded something on your axle but cannot quite make out what you did.

Could I weld on a tab or pin of some sort?

I can see my first picture I posted and tried reposting a different one and it won't upload. Don't know why?
