Summit's Power Nation Kit: $1600+

Has anyone seen this? https://www.summitracing.com/parts/s...CABEgKoKfD_BwE

That does seem a bit high, but hey, maybe they throw in a copy of the video.

* Offenhauser Dual port intake Manifold

$350

* Holley Truck Avenger Carburetor

$450

* Hedman Street Hedder

$500

* ACCEL Extreme 900 Ceramic Spark Plug Wire Set

$80

* Davis Unified Ignition Street/Strip Distributor

$300

* GMB Water Pump

$20

Honestly, you could buy all that stuff brand new and it would cost about the same. There's nothing really "professionally matched" about it. Those are just off the shelf performance external bolt on parts.
Cool that it's available, but...

It's marketing. These are all items used in the vid., albeit w/o the cam kit, or rockers, etc., 'so it must make the same power.' But they used a Holley 390, right?

Is the Hedman header now priced at $500? Geez, I paid under $200 for mine ... 10+ years ago. Wow, I might be able to sell it used for what I paid new! I kind of surprised that Summit didn't substitute their own HEI dizzy in place of the DUI.

BTW, I had to up the insurance on my truck. I've had several people follow me home and ask if it was for sale, or just to ask about it. Kind of creepy when it's a junk hauler, fringe truck, at 12:30 am.

Side note: Anyone know what I could get for a tricked out c6 trans?

I guess it depends on what set they went with. I guessed the latter, but dunno, it doesn't say.

Steel: $225

Silver coated Ceramic: $560

I thought they used a 390, but the ad on summit says a Truck Avenger, so... dunno.

After a while, it doesn't matter what condition they're in, as long as they're not all rusted out. Starting to become collector's items!

As for the C6, I imagine you could get a good amount for it. C6s are common in both rock crawlers and drag strips, and if it's upgrade from stock, even better.

https://www.jegs.com/i/Offenhauser/750/6019-DPK/10002/-1

Jegs offers the Holley 390 in their kit, .summit the truck avenger. I know the Jegs kit came with the steel , unpainted Hedmann headers. Fairly certain the Summit is the same there.
both come with the Offey DP, which they list at $351 new , ouch!

Just realized after going back over the jegs page that their kit no longer includes the D.U.I. distributor

If it's the steel ones, then they're charging more for the combined package than you can get them for separately.
