So my 18yo daughter is on her way to pick up her first diesel. She’s buying an 05 Ram 2500 4x4 with the 5.9 cummins. Her boyfriend drives a 06 cummins and she loves his and has been wanting one of her own for the past two years. Her boyfriend is a mechanic and knows these trucks inside out so hopefully it’ll be a good truck for her. I guess the guy sunk $5500 into having the tranny built to the tilt so hopefully no issues there.

As much as I've witnessed her boyfriends 5.9 being broken down over the past three years, I don’t see her getting a high mileage 5.9 as a good move by any stretch. I just loaned them my spare truck for the last month because his 5.9 was broken down yet again.. They just had a new baby two months ago so you would have thought they would’ve wanted something reliable. But live snd learn I guess.
