My lock did not come with programming instructions. To program the FOB you just hit the button on the inside and then hit the lock button on the FOB.
To program the code I googled RV Lock code programming instructions and it took me about 2 minutes to get done. The first link was a PDF on the Lance Camper site and I had no trouble with it.

For what it's worth, here is a link to the same product but with Prime shipping: http://a.co/6xlDy3R
This one appears to ship long before the one on the link above. I don't have one but I'm thinking about it. Thanks for this thread!

Jim, good call on the Prime shipping.
This sort of lock is great for us for situations like when we leave the camper and want to go hiking, swimming, paddle boarding, etc and don't want to risk losing a key. We have hidden keys that would allow us access, but this is so much more simple. We still plan to have the back up hidden key, but use the combination 99% of the time.

OK, bit of a run around, but I got it installed and working well. The build quality seems good and I have no concerns about it breaking.
The programming was a bit challenging because the instructions were garbage.
We are happy with our purchase so far and grateful we could save a bit of money. We installed lithium AA batteries in hopes that they last a long time.
Follow this video to program the keypad and the FOB.

I wonder if rechargeable batteries would work. If I pull the batteries out before leaving home and plug them into the 110v outlet in the truck on the way to the came site they might be fully charged by the time I get there. Will my charger work with the MSW inverter? Himm, I might have to try that.
If you pull the batteries from the door lock, will the door retain the programming?

Just to update this for those that maybe interested. I ordered the knockoff one from Amazon that was suggested. The pricing was better but it never came. The vendor was bestcome. It was suppose to be sent within about 10 days standard free shipping. I don't have the prime account since I don't order enough to justify it.
It didn't show so then I got to checking, it hadn't even been shipped. I cancelled the order. I remembered I sent RVlock an inquiry to see if they offered a military discount. They did so I just went ahead and bit the bullet and ordered directly with them.
I now have enroute the V4.0 for $239.00 plus a bonus free fob besides the one that comes with it and a military discount. In all $192.00.
A difference of $27.00 and it is US Made. Look forward to its arrival. Not sure when since I ordered it Saturday so the order will be updated sometime this morning.

Scott, too bad about the hassle and I probably would have done the same as you if I had been posed with that situation.
I am sure the genuine RV Lock will be great for you. We used ours for the first time over the past 7 days on a shakedown trip for our new to us camper. It was very, very nice to just turn around and lock the door without a key and head off to do our thing.
I just learned this yesterday, but you can lock the handle by holding the lock key for 3 seconds. You don't need to input the code to lock it, kind of cool.
