Looks likes they have everyone by the short hairs. I dont pay property tax on all my stuff just house. My friend in Virginia pays the same as S.C. What a rip off. Wouldn't be so bad if they used the money to benefit everyone equally. No more commute lanes toll roads. We already paid for them and then they hit us on registration on top of that to maintain them.
You should see our high speed train. Over budget no locomotive or train cars and it's so far in the hole. Only doing 10 miles of track as far as I can tell.

To register my two pickups in PA is $180 for my 3/4 ton pickup and $86 for my 1/2 ton pickup. The difference is the 3/4 ton is Class 3 and the 1/2 ton is Class 2.

Exactly!! I still don’t understand this one. I did math one time on a vehicle when sold 5 times. Think how much they made on that plus the registration, lol

Ps
I think mine was around $150 last year I can’t remember for sure

Just paid my bi-annual registration for my 2015 F350 SRW w/ 11500# option but opted to register it up to 10000# for $215.

Hope the fine folks from the great state of Ca see this and make some changes.

Please post up how much you all pay in your state. Curious to know how much I could save moving from here.
My Jerry Brown registration increase went from $699 to $813 plus a $43 smog test for a less than 2 year old truck with just 21K miles.

Ya I was shocked when i had to take my 1 year old truck in for a smog. I thought you had 5 years like with a new car. And to think the certificate is still only $6. Wait till the next guy gets in. Newsome is even worse.

Did something change in SC in the last 7 years? I was stationed in Beaufort from '07-'10. Bought an '06 6.0 in '08 and my registration fees were only like $70 for two years.

live in utah now and just got my first registration notice on my '15 which is $170.

In Texas, I pay $78 for Registration and $7 for Safety Inspection. The registration on the 5th wheel is $122 and the Safety inspection is $7. Not too bad for Truck and RV fun per year.

The Bone, you have to get your truck smog tested???? I'm in Calif and mine is a 2016 and I don't have to get it smoged, something doesn't seem correct. I have never had to smog a new car before 5 years even in California.

I was surprised at a 1 or 2 years of ownership before a smog test is required for our diesels. it is probably a commercial diesel vehicle thing so Jerry Brown can get us on one more tax/fee. Smog tests this year or next would depend on the last digit of your VIN # (even or odd).
