No, and no state income tax. Property taxes are super low. Roughly $700 a year on a new 2,300 sq ft house with a detached workshop on 42 acres of timbered land. We do get hit with high sales tax. Think its 9.5% on about the first $2,000 then it drops to 7 or 7.5. Not a toll road in the state as far as I know.

Now, sales tax is capped at $500 for new or used vehicles, but I'd much rather pay a larger sales tax up front than our ridiculous property taxes every year.
I believe it because I live it with you as I am also in Lexington county. I just paid my tax/tag bill Monday for my 2011 F450 that I bought in April of 2010. Yep its 8 years old now and my bill was... hold on to your ***.... $1246.52!!
It started out at $3100 just like your 2018. I won't buy a newer one as long as I live in this state. This current personal property tax structure is why you see so many POS cars on the roads in this state.

Last May I renewed the tags on my 15 Odyssey, 14 F250, 08 Santa Fe, 08 5th wheel and a recent 18' Util trailer, total came to $597. It'll be up greatly next year - as we've recently made some expensive purchases.

Late last year I paid my property tax, $580; for comparison purposes mines much newer, larger and the land is a full acre Vs. my mothers tiny place (in the Disney area), she got a bill for $7-$8K in property tax. And she thinks she's living in the 'bestest' place.

Move to Bama and you can even Open Carry.

Here in the wonderful state of New York with King Andy at the helm, we have to re-register road vehicles every two years. Bought my truck at the end of December 2016, so mine is due at the end of the year. Paid $234 for my truck with commercial plates.

Make sure your drivers license matches your registration and plates.

Just got the renewal in the mail for my 87 F250 IDI.. $101 here in WA..a 30 year old truck costs the same as a 7 year old truck? According to them I can tow the same weight with the 87 f250, as I can tow with the 2011 f350..heh..
