Gear Vednors question
I have my eye on a used GV unit from a 7.3l PSD with the NV273 transfer case. Does anybody know of a way to change the GV unit to fit on my BW 1345 transfer case? This is the only aftermarket parts house I know of for GV. According to a buddy of mine with a GV unit in his 68 Mercury Cougar, GV doesn't provide parts, only complete kits. I know I would have to change the output shaft behind the GV unit, but I would also need it to work with my transfer case. Any ideas?

When i put my gear vendor on, it was a near complete kit from a junk yard. I called up gv hq in California. They were quite nice and informative. Of course they tried to upsell me new kit stuff, but in the end, they did sell me just the parts I needed. They even dug up an old yoke from their old inventory for me. They also got me an installation guide and new seals.
I'd call them directly. They can answer all your questions.
