Question about 6.7L & DPF’s
#16
Some, but not a bunch. I can go from Maryland to Colorado without a regen.
But when I unhook, it will regen as soon as it is up to temps.
The trade off is def, you will use more def when towing. But I average 4500-5000K between fillups. Since mine is a 2013 I have the 5.5 gal def tank.
Not sure if they changed that for the 2016 or not, I know they did for the 2017 models.

Scott, I was under the impression that the truck regens at 500 miles regardless of how full the DPF is. I believe GM's sense the before and after exhaust flow and trigger regens based on the difference in exhaust flow. At least the 12 - 16's. The 17s and 18's may be different.

Hey Chuck, I'm just wondering if when towing, Senix's passive regen mode is working well enough not to trigger an active one. I had that happen to me last year in Kentucky when the truck went active for a mile or whatever and regen shut off. I was doing a lot of highway driving, no towing.
