1993 4x4 dashboard light

I have a '93 5.0 V8 truck with a floor shift for switching to 4x4 operation. There is a dash light that's supposed to light when in 4x4 mode. It doesn't light. I tried opening the dash and inserting a brand new bulb, but the light still doesn't light. There appears to be a switch of some sort screwed into the transfer case with a wire attached. I'm wondering if this is a switch for the light? If so, I've tried finding a replacement switch to try and fix this problem, but have had no luck.
I want the light to work because sometimes I leave the truck in 4x4 mode and the next time I use the truck I can find myself driving on dry pavement in 4x4 mode - a bad idea - and the light is a good reminder.

Is that a Borg-Warner 1356 t-case? If so, this is the switch you need -
Amazon Amazon
- It's sometimes called an oil pressure switch, sometimes called a gearshift switch. Both are misnomers. As the Amazon listing states, it's actually the switch for the 4X4 and LOW RANGE lights. A little cheaper at RockAuto, but then there's shipping.

Does it light up with the rest of the dash indicators when you first start truck and the lights prove out?

Maybe probe the switch before replacing.
The problem may be somewhere else.

Don't repair by blindly throwing parts at it.

Sorry it took so long. Thanks for your help. I purchased the sensor and am waiting for warmer weather to install it in my truck.

There's a washer on that sensor. Make sure you have one, its a certain thickness. Might be on the t-case. I know without it, it won't work right

I know it's been a while since you provided the part number and link, but I finally got good weather to install the switch outside on my truck. The 4x4 dash light now works - first time in 4 years!
