1993 4x4 dashboard light
I have a '93 5.0 V8 truck with a floor shift for switching to 4x4 operation. There is a dash light that's supposed to light when in 4x4 mode. It doesn't light. I tried opening the dash and inserting a brand new bulb, but the light still doesn't light. There appears to be a switch of some sort screwed into the transfer case with a wire attached. I'm wondering if this is a switch for the light? If so, I've tried finding a replacement switch to try and fix this problem, but have had no luck.
I want the light to work because sometimes I leave the truck in 4x4 mode and the next time I use the truck I can find myself driving on dry pavement in 4x4 mode - a bad idea - and the light is a good reminder.

Is that a Borg-Warner 1356 t-case? If so, this is the switch you need - - It's sometimes called an oil pressure switch, sometimes called a gearshift switch. Both are misnomers. As the Amazon listing states, it's actually the switch for the 4X4 and LOW RANGE lights. A little cheaper at RockAuto, but then there's shipping.
