ya ive had them spirals tighten up when i drill the walls of bolts thing too.

Before you go too far with replacing the caliper, try taking it to a shop and asking them to remove the easy out for you.

I had a shop remove a broken easy-out from my cylinder head (broken exhaust bolt) for $50. Well worth it, and they didn't have to helicoil it.

Got 2 rebuilt calipers for the front today, going to let the rebuilder deal with the broken bleeder and EZout.

Broken ez

They make ez out extractors. You buy them more so at an industrial supply house. They will need to know how many flutes and what size. They work really good. As for what to do eith your current caliper. Keep it and remove broken pieces.

Remove hose so brake fluid can expand.

Heat the bleeder/ ez with a torch, use two small punches and incert into the flute area and slowly twist. You want to heat this up very hot. I have used this method a few times on feild finds that have been sitting along time.
